Charlotte Sands Wrestles With Her Mind in Latest Single "Six Feet Under" | THE NOISE

Charlotte Sands continues to "create a safe space for people to feel accepted and celebrated for their weirdness and diversity" on her latest single, "Six Feet Under." On the single, Sands shows off her continued knack for creating angsty, upbeat melodies laced with emotional, unabashedly honest, self-reflective lyrics.

"Six Feet Under" opens with a collage of thrumming guitar riffs and bass lines ushering in Sands' addictively moody vocals, setting the scene for the enigmatic world she has created. With deeply relatable lines like, "I'm an optimist, but the pessimist wins sometimes," or "am I getting better or just better at pretending," the rising star shares her struggles with mental health and finding stability with unwavering honesty, hopefully letting anyone who can connect with the song feel less alone in their experience.

"'Six Feet Under' is a song about having the impulse to sabotage your own life whenever it feels comfortable and the addictiveness of having highs and lows instead of balance and stability," said Charlotte. "It's for anyone that finds themself having self-destructive tendencies and constantly struggles with embracing solidity. I hope you love this song, and I hope it brings you some kind of peace knowing you are not the only person who feels more at ease when surrounded by chaos."

The single release comes just ahead of Sands' packed summer festival lineup. The singer-songwriter graced South By Southwest with an impeccable show and is set to perform at Shaky Knees, SunFest, Hangout Fest, Slam Dunk, and Rock am Ring and Rock im Park Fest before doing a run of Germany headlining shows in May.
