Living in one of the world’s most creative cities, her environment at home and school nurtured her artistic side. “My mom is a visual artist,” she shares, “and my dad, who was also an artist, worked with people in the music industry.” Her parents introduced her to musical legends like Michael Jackson, Prince, and iconic R&B acts from the 1990s. “I was captivated by the sound of the greats,” she says. “They were a major influence on my decision to start singing.”
