Amy Allen's  "Queen of Silver Linings" is a Striking Solo Debut

Making the transition from songwriter to solo artist is a tough move in the music industry, especially when you're an extremely successful songwriter. This is the case for singer/songwriter Amy Allen. She has co-written two of the biggest hits in the past few years. You may have heard "Adore You" by Harry Styles and "Without Me" by Halsey. Yeah, she co-wrote both of those. But writing credits and Billboard #1s aside, Allen has been training for the main stage her entire life.

Allen picked up her first instrument when she was a child in Windham, Maine. She quickly fell in love with making music and performing. That led her to writing songs every day and performing in bands and solo all throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Since then she has graduated from Berklee College of Music, appeared on The Voice, and has co-written some extremely popular songs with a superstar or two.

Today, we are talking about another song that she wrote but this is one that she actually performs. "Queen of Silver Linings" is Amy Allen's debut single as a solo artist on Warner Records. The country-leaning single is impressively bare but striking. That shouldn't be surprising knowing how gifted Allen is as a songwriter. Relying on only a guitar and her piercing voice, Allen sings honestly about a fraught relationship with the "king of good intentions" that she always ends up justifying. I'm sure a lot of people can relate.
